General information

The diver detection system (DDS) is a hydroacoustic detection system developed for active monitoring of underwater objects at short and medium ranges. The system solves a variety of problems in security and safety of underwater objects and objects near water.

DDS-300M is a modification of the DDS line for bottom-based with a detection range of ~ 300 m, consisting of 1 (one) set of hydroacoustic antennas for 360 ° horizontal viewing, an operator's workstation based on a PC and a set of cables.

DDS-600M is a modification of the DDS line for bottom-based operation with a detection range of ~ 600 m, consisting of 1 (one) set of hydroacoustic antennas for 360 ° horizontal viewing, an operator's workstation based on a PC and a set of cables.

DDS-950M is a modification of the DDS line for bottom-based operation with a detection range of ~ 950 m, consisting of a basic set of 1 (one) set of hydroacoustic antennas for 360 ° horizontal viewing, an operator's workstation based on a PC with maximum software functionality and a set of cables.

All hydroacoustic stations of the DDS line are designed for continuous round-the-clock and year-round operation at temperatures from 0 to + 55 ° С (for underwater antennas) and -55 ° С to + 70 ° С for surface units.

Features

Diver detection system allows to:

  • detect underwater targets;
  • track underwater targets according to the specified parameters (size, direction, speed);
  • record and reproduce the movement of targets from the archive.

Connection and control of the System is performed by:

  • Connection and control of the System is performed by Ethernet via TCP / IP, WiFi or fiber optic (depending on modification);
  • DDS is controlled by Poseidon software (included in the delivery set, pre-installed on the workstation).

Poseidon software description:

Poseidon software (hereinafter referred to as software) is designed to work with DDS-300 hydroacoustic antennas, as well as more powerful versions of DDS-600 and DDS-950.

The software is capable of managing up to 255 sets of antennas to cover difficult areas of the underwater area.

The software has an interface consisting of:

  • the central operator's window, which displays a map of the object, antennas marked on it, view sectors, targets and their movement routes;
  • windows of connected antennas, including their status, alarms and diagnostics;
  • list of detected targets, including the coordinates of the target (azimuth, elevation), distance from the antenna that detected the target, speed of movement to the protected object, absolute speed, time to reach the protected object in straight-line movement, time to reach the closest part of the protected object, photograph of the detected object (in the acoustic spectrum);
  • file menu;
  • unlimited number of tracking windows designed for automatic tracking and display of the acoustic spectrum and target information.

For each detected target, the software generates and updates the characteristics of the target at each repeated scanning, including target coordinates (relative: azimuth, elevation and real in case of integration with GLONASS / GPS), distance from the antenna that detected the target, speed of movement to the protected object, absolute speed , the time until reaching the protected object in straight-line movement, the time until reaching the closest part of the protected object.

The movement and parameters of all targets are recorded in the archive and target log.

Support has been implemented for critical zones (for example, entrance to the harbor, approach to the pier), which the operator marks on the diagram, upon access to which an alarm is sounded.
